Need help? Emergency Food Kits Available For Pickup

Central Texas Food Bank has really been taking care of the people of Austin, and like the heroes they are, they’re not done yet. On April 30th, those in need can pick up an Emergency Food Kit at the Toney Burger Stadium at 3200 Jones Road. They’ll be there helping folks out from 9am to 12pm.

The kit comes with a bunch of essentials, including 28 pounds of shelf-stable foods like peanut butter, rice, canned tuna, and canned fruit. The boxes will also come with some hygiene products such as toothpaste and shampoo.

Due to social distancing rules in place, those wanting to receive a box must arrive in a car for drive-thru pickup, and families are encouraged to send one representative. Just be sure to pop your trunk when you get there so they can place the package in your trunk!

If you’d like to help those fine people out, you can apply to be a volunteer here.
