During today’s show, Jason and Deb got into a huge dispute about how to classify The Middle by Jimmy Eat World. It all started when Jason referred to the solo in The Middle, as a “bitchin’ rock and roll solo”. Deb argued that the song is pop rock, and it sounds more like an homage to rock n roll surrounded by pop or rather a watered down version of rock n roll. Jason did agree that it does fall in the sub category of pop rock, but all sub categories come from a main genre, which proved his case that the solo is rock n roll. The boss came into the studio to give the verdict, and he deemed that the song is punk rock.

Over the weekend, Deb brought along her friend Casey and new producer Imari to NeuFit for moral support before the competition. Check out some of the workouts they did to turn up Deb’s competitive edge and kick it into high gear before the big day.
QUIEN ES MAS MACHO
Every Monday we test Jason’s manliness by comparing his weekend to a listener’s. Eric was today’s listener and his weekend was filed with cars, barbeque and floating on the river. To start off his manly weekend, Eric bought the ’88 Camaro he was almost born in, fixed up his house, put together a jeep and finished with barbeque and floating on Sunday.
Jason’s cinema club made a comeback this Friday to start off The Dickman’s weekend, then he played poker all day on Saturday (Surprise, surprise!), watched Orange Is The New Black and saw his friend’s band, The Cut Throat Finches, perform. Since there was no time for the listeners to vote, no winner was declared, but Deb thought being born in a Camaro was interesting so we’ll declare him today’s winner by default. I LOVE YOU CALL
Today we called Insomnia Cookies in Philadelphia, PA, and before Jason even dialed the number, Deb said she had a good feeling about today’s call. Deb asked Insomnia cookies if they were like Tiff’s Treats and they said they were similar and also offered white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies Deb could order for her friend’s birthday. After saying I love you not one, but four times with mix of a little force and determination, Deb was able to get an I Love You Too.
