Today Nakia, local singer and one of the original cast members of the voice joined us in studio to talk about his new album.
Jason and Nakia go way back, and if you remember they met when Jason went to an event for free barbeque and they have been friends since then and their iconic belly-bump video in studio.
During the segment, Jason, Deb and Nakia discussed the release of his new album and the process he went through to finding his best-suited style and how he went back to his roots for this long-awaited release.

Deb had to power through today’s show after sad news and a rough morning. Blue woke her up at four in the morning, and then she knew something was wrong. As soon as Deb got up, all she could smell was cat food, and as she was trying to see what was wrong, she stepped right into the problem. Deb’s new cat, George O’Keefe, vomited all over the house, so Deb took George to the vet this morning. Luckily, the emergency vet is open twenty-four hours because after multiple tests and thousands of dollars, George was diagnosed with FIV, a form of HIV for cats. Although, since he’s just a kitten, the final results haven’t been determined and there is still hope. We wish Deb and George all the best.
THAT GUY
Today’s That Guy was, I’m Not Saying This To Rub Your Nose In It, Guy… don’t be that guy. Spoiler: it’s Dave B. When Jason and Dave B. were hanging out during the fantasy football draft, he showed Jason a video of another radio guy throwing the first pitch at a Cubs game, but before he showed the video he said he wasn’t trying to rub it in Jason’s nose it. Jason had already seen the video, and he wasn’t jealous but happy for the guy. Although, after Dave B’s set up, he wondered if he was supposed to be mad and he started to become just a tad bit jealous. Even Deb admitted that throwing the pitch at the local Round Rock stadium is cool, but she would have loved an opportunity to pitch at a Cubs game like that competition radio guy. Well, Jason now has the sudden urge to throw a first pitch. Rub your nose in it guy, don’t be that guy.

I LOVE YOU CALL
Today we called House OF Lights in Vermont to see if Deb could bring in bulbs from her light fixture to replace a couple bulbs. House of Lights even tried to save Deb the trouble of writing down the bulb numbers and told her to come on in so they could help. House OF Lights hesitated when Deb said I Love You, but unfortunately they hung up and had no love for Deb today.
