Well, it’s the first full day of restaurants and bars being closed in the City of Austin. It also happens
to be the day that Jason is going on vacation to Mexico. Originally, we were going to be playing “Best Of’s” for you all but
the bosses wanted us to continue on in this time of mutual uncertainty. Deb had already planned to be in San Antonio helping San Antonio guy pack up the rest of his house down
there. So what do we have left? That’s right, it’s Producer Nick and Producer Katy with y’all for the next few days. We’ll be running things for the next few days, we’ll be playing a mix of best of’s in addition to talking about news, sports and reading your tweets! Please chime in with us on twitter @JasonandDeb and our individual twitters @nickmouth and @katy101x. We look forward to hopefully not burning down the building, so bear with us!
Eat Local!
As you now now the city of Austin has banned gatherings of 10 people or more. In addition they have closed down bars and restricted restaurants to delivery and to go orders only. We knew that when SXSW was cancelled several local businesses would be taking a heavy toll financially. It’s super important to support your favorite local restaurant right now. One good thing is that breweries are still allowed to sell beer, but to-go. Check out this article from Austin 360 who has a list of breweries participating, no fear you’ll still be able to get your favorite local brew! Nick and Katy were talking about getting delivery from the cafe where Katy used to work, Cenote. Unfortunately for the time being they had to close their north location but their Cesar Chavez location is open and offering free delivery to the Austin area! Go support your favorite local business and pick up or have something delivered.
Social Distancing Streaming
It looks like we’re gonna be stuck inside for awhile. Not to fear, there is so many things to stream right now. Katy talked about how it seems like we’re always saying “wow it would be nice to just do nothing but sit on the couch and watch T.V.” well, here’s our opportunity! Katy had been hearing a lot about a new reality show called the Circle so she was able to start it last night and so far she think’s it’s pretty good. Many people have talked highly of it so she’ll have to keep going. We have a list of our recommendations of what we are watching but we’d love to hear from you all and see what you recommend!
Nick’s recommendations: Devs on Hulu, Avenue 5 on HBO, Star vs. the Forces of Evil on Hulu/Disney +.
Katy’s recommendations: Fleabag on Amazon Prime, Please Like Me on Hulu, Everything Is Going To Be Okay on Hulu and Sex Education on Netflix.
Sex Bracket
While you’re at home social distancing here’s something to add to your list of things to do. It’s our alternative bracket for 2020, sex things! To make your decisions between each seeded sex thing, choose as if you are choosing which one you would rather do for the rest of your life. Then email us MorningX@KROX.com with an excel attachment of your bracket!
