Last week, Deb was helping Blue transition to the giant dog park in the sky. Jason and producer Nick went to go check up on Deb to visit Blue and comfort her during her tough times. Mama Dick even delivered flowers to Deb over the weekend, but sadly Jason’s weekend took an unexpected turn.
Prepare your tissues, this is not a “Jason Dick radio bit.” Unfortunately, Jason’s beloved Silent J passed away on Sunday. Silent J was getting old, but the past six months that process was speeding up. Jason knew he wouldn’t be around forever, but he was just short of turning fifteen. He thought Silent J would exist as the old man dog for a couple of years, but the universe just has some weird timing.
Jason got the news while on his trip in Vegas Sunday morning that he passed away in his sleep Saturday night. When Jason goes out of town he usually leaves Gil in charge so he knew he would be in good hands, but when his mom called he could hear in her voice that this wouldn’t be good news. Paws in Paradise came to help map the way to the dog park in the sky, and now Silent J and Blue Boy can be reunited. We miss you already Silent J.

I LOVE YOU CALL
Since Deb was out due to having surgery on her labrum, today’s I love you call was a Best Of from the time we called Lafayette Bank And Trust. Lafayette Bank And Trust replied to Deb with an epic I Love Too. After dialing a couple of numbers, pushing buttons on the line and being on hold so long Jason and Deb got into a side discussion about their first bank accounts, this call worth the wait because Deb got an I Love You Too.
