Jason saw the baby! After debating on yesterday’s show about scheduling a visit to meet his friend’s newborn, Kenny solved Jason’s dilemma and invited him over to meet baby Anaura. With a bottle of Crown Royal of course. Jason got to meet the new born and spend some time with Kenny the Dad. He even got to hold her. While visiting Jason noticed all of the weighing, planning and procedures being performed on baby Anaura. He then realized that there is way too much work and responsibility involved with having a baby. Anaura did not cry nor poop on Jason while he was holding her. So, it’s safe to say she must be taking a liking to her Uncle Dick.
DEB’S NIGHT GOT WEIRD
As you may have heard, both Jason and Deb are having AC issues right now. Probably, just like the rest of Austin trying to get through a summer in Texas. Since Deb’s AC was out last night, she had to sleep in her guest room, which was a little off putting. After an evening of having to switch things up like her diet, to sharing a bath with boy Blue, Deb had to move into her spare bedroom. Even though the guestroom had working AC, new clean sheets and pillows that she brought from her room, she just couldn’t shake the strange feeling of sleeping in the spare room even though it was her house. AC repair man number two is stopping by Deb’s today. Hopefully he can get things back to normal.
BIKES FOR GOODNESS SAKE
Today we had the co- founders of Bikes For Goodness Sake, Mark Smith and Pete Buck, as well as Chris Stanton, founder of Ghisallo Cycling Initiative, in studio to talk about the ways you can help raise money to give bikes to kids that need them. They initially started in 2008 by donating bikes to the children of soldiers on deployment, and have grown nationally since then. They also walked us through the process of how they have been able to donate thousands of bikes to children. Bikes For Goodness Sake has partnered with Jason and Deb for their back to school drive to benefit kids in our community.
I LOVE YOU CALL
Today we called Buckhead Florist in Atlanta, Georgia to see if they could send out flowers for a friend who just had a baby. Deb couldn’t get an answer the first two times, but her persistence paid off and they pick up on the third try. They asked Deb what hospital she wanted to deliver to and Deb said she would get back to them with more info. Luckily, that was all the information Buckhead Florist needed to say, “I love you”. Deb even got her first ever, “I love you more”! Third time is definitely the charm.
