As you know Deb has been dealing a sick pup, and is unable to leave Blue boy home alone very much. The good news is that all of her friend and neighbors have been working overtime to keep her spirits up by visiting often. However one of her friends may have inadvertently spoiled one of Debs’ favorite shows during her most recent visit. Deb has been catching up on The Blacklist on Netflix. It’s essentially a police procedural, but naturally Deb has gotten all caught up in the human element and is emotionally invested in the storylines of several characters. It turns out that the father of Deb’s friend Sam is a big-time actor who had a guest role on The Blacklist, so Deb and her friend decided to watch the episode with her friend’s dad in it. Unfortunately it just happened to be far enough ahead of where Deb normally was that it spoiled the death of one of Deb’s favorite characters. Ouch. Of course Deb had to binge watch to get to the episode where they died, and of course it left her an emotional wreck. But in a good way. Obviously Deb chose not to hold it against her friend for accidentally spoiling a major twist, but what about you all? Have you ever had someone accidentally spoil one of your favorite shows? Did you forgive them? Let us know at morningx@krox.com.
Incidentally you might remember Deb’s friend Sam from when they went to Puerto Rico together a few years back…
Hear Me Now, Correct Me Later!
For today’s That Guy segment Jason chose to highlight Listen To What I Mean Not What I Say Guy. Surprise, surprise that turned out to be Producer Nick. It may not be noticeable to the average reader, but sometimes Producer Nick’s mouth fails to spit out the exact word or phrase his brain is telling it to say. The specific incident in question happened while Nick and Jason were at a friend’s house watching football, and the new movie A Star Is Born kept coming up. Apparently Producer Nick committed the ultimate sin of saying A Star In Born multiple times and Jason could not stand for to ignore this atrocity. As you can imagine Nick grew quite frustrated that Jason would interrupt his points on the movie for such a minor correction. Jason insisted his powerful brain simply cannot accept hearing incorrect statements, and thus the correction. Producer Nick felt it was more likely this was a way for Jason to feel superior and boost his already highly-developed ego. We guess you guys will just have to decide which one sounds more like the truth.
Yarn Vs Wool
For today’s I Love You Call we decided to call Yarnia of Old Town in Virginia. Earlier in the show we were discussing the Mega Millions lottery winner (Spoiler Alert: It wasn’t you) and Jason pulled yarn factory out of his brain for an example of a hypothetical business someone would quit after winning the lottery. Trust us, it makes sense if you go back and listen to the 6am Podcast. Anyways, Yarnia Of Old Town was the closest thing we could find. Things started off poorly right away as Deb and her people call it wool and not yarn, but eventually everyone was able to get onto the same page. Deb went with the tactic of looking for knitting lessons for one of her fake kids. It turns out that Deb has dabbled in the past with crocheting, but was never able to master knitting. Fortunately knitting lessons is totally a thing they do at Yarnia Of Old Town. Unfortunately it seems what they don’t do is reply with an I Love You. Boo!

The Red Sox won the first game of the World Series against the Dodgers 8 to 4. More importantly Boston’s Mookie Betts stole a base. That means free Taco Bell for everyone!
