Friday, April 14th

Acro-Cats | 7 p.m. | Dougherty Arts Center

It’s the amazing Acro-Cats! See cats as you’ve never seen them before. These fantastic, flying felines present a show full of real tricks and stunts done by rescue cats. The show also includes a performance of The Rockcats, an all-cat rock band…yes, I’m serious. Catch these cool cats at the Dougherty Arts Center, this Friday. Metallica Listening Party | 7:30 p.m. | Waterloo Records

Iconic heavy metal band, Metallica, is back with their highly anticipated 2023 album release, “72 Seasons”. This will be the band’s first release since their 2016 album, “Hardwired…to Self-Distruct”. Celebrate the long-awaited return of Metallica, this Friday at Waterloo Records’ album listening party. Party-goers have a chance to win a FREE Metallica guitar pick pack with the purchase of an album. Find the event RSVP, here.

Saturday, April 15th

Austin FC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC | 7:30 p.m. | Q2 Stadium 

Austinites, it’s time to get up, and get out to the Q2 Stadium, this Saturday in support of our very own “Los Verdes”. The mean, green team will be facing off in a match with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. If you can’t make it to the game in person, grab an MLS Season Pass to watch the team on Apple TV. FREE 21+ Crawfish Boil | 1 p.m. | Hotel Vegas

You already know I’ve got the weekend crawfish boil hook-up! You’re welcome. Stop by Hotel Vegas this Saturday for a FREE crawfish boil with a purchase of a drink. There are several bands on the line-up for you to enjoy while you chow down, including Pleasure Seekers, The Naps and Nick Garza’s Get Along. The event is FREE to attend, but you can RSVP, here.

Sunday, April 16th

Selena Movie Party | 6 p.m. | Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar

ANYTHING FOR SELENAS! Celebrate Texas’ Tejano treasure’s birthday, this Sunday, at Alamo Drafthouse. Join Alamo in an interactive screening of the Selena movie. Alamo encourages guests to dress in Selena-themed costumes, and will provide movie-related props for movie-goers to use while singing along to songs in the movie. AF’s Hillcountry Hoedown| 11 a.m. | Distribution Hall

The great outdoors can be greatly intimidating if you’re a newcomer to the scene. The Hillcountry Hoedown is here to help you learn more about adventuring. Gain hands-on knowledge for things such as fly fishing, wild game cooking and dog training. Grab some tasty BBQ from vendors, and wash it down with complimentary cocktails and beverages. Bring your dogs, and your kids! Children under 13 get in free with a purchase of a GA ticket. Rest assured, your kids won’t be bored with nature-inspired arts and crafts provided at the event.
