If you’ve got a birthday coming up, chances are, your zodiac sign is Aries. Congrats! You’re firey, driven, a natural-born leader aaannddd just a little bit on the stubborn side. To celebrate you and all your Aries greatness AND the ONE-YEAR anniversary of The Far Out Lounge, the Austin music venue is hosting an Aries birthday party, presented by Howdy Gals and Mas Music Records. This b-day bash includes live music from Nolan Potter’s Nightmare Band, Shooks, Sleep well. and DJ Astral Violet. Take advantage of the beautiful spring weather this weekend! Head out to Radio Coffee and Beer for Deer Fellow’s single release party. Enjoy music from Deer Fellow, Elijah Delgado, Aubrey Hays and Redbud. Radio’s delightful outdoor seating section will be sure to make a great hangout spot in the weekend sunshine. Kick back, grab a coffee or a beer, and let the music distract you from the work week ahead. This event is FREE to attend!

Water Lantern Festival | 3:30 p.m. | Mueller Lake Park

What better way to start off your spring than by attending the Water Lantern Festival, right here in Austin? This experience can be anything you and your loved ones make it. Send off your lanterns with any messages you want and watch them float away in the serene water of Lake Mueller. These glimmering, glinting lanterns create a beautiful scene of light atop the river that makes for a life-long lasting memory. After the fest is over, staff will collect all lanterns, and return them to their owners, giving you a keepsake to go along with your memory! The Answers Album Release Party | 9 p.m. | Hotel Vegas

End your weekend with the latest release from Austin-based art rock band, The Answers. This will be the last show the band will play in Austin before they embark on their tour out of state. The Answers are supported by bands, Fading Yellow and Castle Club. Head out to Hotel Vegas on Sunday, then brag to all your coworkers on Monday that you got to see a live album release over the weekend. Tickets are $10 at the door. You can RSVP, here.
