Friday, February 17th

Lake Travis BARge Crawl | 5:30 p.m. | Tide Up Boat Rentals

“I’m on a boat!” as the Lonely Island once sang. This Friday, take a tidal twist on the classic tradition of bar crawling with Tide Up Boat Rentals. One ticket gets you a boat tour of several different restaurants & bars along the coast of Lake Travis. BYOB is encouraged for the boat ride so long as alcoholic drinks stay on the boat. The crawl lasts five hours with up to 10 people on each boat. For a private BARge crawl experience, private tickets are available. If you can’t make it this Friday, no worries! Saturday Friday night fever! Don’t stop ’till you get enough this Friday with DJ Q. Come dressed in your biggest bell bottoms and your tallest go-go boots, and get down tonight…well, Friday night. Costumes are HIGHLY encouraged! DJ Q takes you through the grooviest tracks of the 70s with house beats thrown in the mix as well. Wand-Making Workshop | 3 p.m. | Dragon’s Lair 

Worthwich’s School of Wizardry brings you a magical evening of making unique, hand-made, wooden wands. The workshop takes you through a step-by-step process of choosing the type of wood you want for your wand and sanding it to the perfect shape. Before finishing the wand for good, choose your wand’s “core” to give it that special touch, with the option to bring your own core. In addition to the wand crafting, you’ll learn all about the history and art of wand-making lore. This event is kid-free! No children under the age of 13 are allowed in. Ultraviolet Mardi Gras Day Party | 3 p.m. | Speakeasy Rooftop

Get a head start on the Mardi Gras celebration with ATX Social Chair and Always Check On The Homies. Wear your best, beautiful, brilliant Mardi Gras beads while you dance to DJ sets on the rooftop of Speakeasy. Don’t feel guilty for getting drunk at 3 p.m., this Mardi Gras celebration is for a cause! Ticket proceeds go to Always Check On The Homies, a local organization that fights for mental health resources and advocacy. Find tickets, here.

Radio Coffee and Flea Market flyer

Austin Flea Market | 10 a.m. | Radio Coffee & Beer

Coffee, Drinking and Shopping. I can’t think of a better way to spend your Sunday. The Austin Flea Market is filled with vendors selling unique, handmade and vintage items. Whether you’re looking for new decor, a gift for a friend or family member, cool clothes, or a fun little knick-knack, the Austin Flea Market will be sure to provide. This Saturday, the market will be located at Radio Coffee and Beer so you’ll be able to grab a yummy caffeinated and/or boozy beverage while you shop. Can’t make it out? The flea market takes place every 3rd Saturday of the month (location varies). The event is free to attend, but you can RSVP, here.

90’s Edition Drag Brunch | 12 p.m. | Taquero Mucho

Have a throwback Sunday at the infamous, pretty-in-pink taqueria. Enjoy tacos, drinks and a 90’s themed drag brunch at Taquero Mucho. If the throwback theme wasn’t enough to entice you, the event will be benefiting Viventhealth, a local sexual health clinic. If you hate FREE swag and a live DJ, you definitely shouldn’t come to this event. Drag queens, yummy tacos, and a fun atmosphere, oh my!
