Friday, March 8
International Women’s Day Happy Hour and Mixer | 5 PM |
Native Hostel
March is International Women’s month, and this Friday is International Women’s Day! Head over to Native Hostel to celebrate women from all over the world and enjoy their happy hour from 5 PM to 8 PM (21+). The theme for International Women’s Day 2019, is “Think equal, build smart, innovate for change,” so come together and show your support and love for all the women in your life.
Capital One House Ft. Bishop Briggs | 8 PM |
Antone’s
The time for SXSW is now. This year’s Capital One House includes performances by Bishop Briggs, Mt. Joy, CHVRCHES, Jade Bird, and St. Paul & The Broken Bones. This event is open to the public with an RSVP, but badges do get priority (go figure). But hey, don’t let that discourage you! Just get there early, just like you should everything else SXSW-related!
BBQ Austin | 3 PM |
Travis County Expo Center
Escape the downtown SX chaos and head on over to the Travis County Expo Center to enjoy some DELICIOUS BBQ, hosted by Rodeo Austin. Sample some amazing food from some of the best bbq joints around, grab a few drinks and enjoy some live music! Take no risks and bring your loose pants, because you are about to get your grub on.
Saturday, March 9
VICE Pop-up Rollerskating Party | 1 PM |

VICE is back for SXSW 2019, and this time they’re bringing a roller rink with them! If you’re familiar with their activations during SXSW, you know how much fun they can be—we don’t expect this to be any different. Enjoy DJs, daily happy hours(21+), branded swag, and the famous VICELAND bus. This event is open to the public, no RSVP or badges/wristbands required.
The Tito’s Party | 1 PM |
Arlyn Studios
There ain’t no party like a Tito’s party! This year, the tito’s party will be benefitting the Austin Humane Society and they’ll have adoptable dogs on-site! Enjoy music from bands like the Octopus Project and Magna Carda later on in the night. RSVP now and get there early to make sure you get in!
Springdale Social | 4 PM |
Springdale Station
Pinthub presents Springdale Social with Austin Eastciders and Friends & Allies Brewing! This is an event outside of downtown and will include live music, games, prizes & merch. And if you’re 21 and up, your first beer is on them! The Springdale Station is a perfect place to bring the family, the pup, or both so if you haven’t checked it out yet, you really should!

Austin Town Hall vs Side One Track One | 1 PM |
Hotel Vegas & Volstead
Talk about a Sunday Funday! Austin Town Hall vs Side One Track One is returning to Hotel Vegas & the Volstead for a showcase with over 30 bands, all for FREE! If you’re a fan of our Homegrown Live shows, this is definitely an event that you are not going to want to miss out on.
Southboiled| 2 PM |
Empire Control Room
Head on over to Empire Control Room this Sunday for Southboiled! This event includes live performances from 11 different artists, crawfish from Papa Kuma, visual artists, and local vendors for you to enjoy and interact with. RSVP now for a spot, or pay $10 dollars for a GUARANTEED spot!
Pop Up at the Park | 10 AM |
Possum Park
Bring the whole family out to celebrate the 2nd Sunday Pop Up at Possum Park. 21 and up can enjoy complimentary craft beer and wine! Grab a bite to eat, and shop around with some local Austin vendors all at North Loop’s favorite park.
