 Fair Market

Nothing beats a great market and this weekend Renegade Austin is taking over the historic Fair Market to bring us one of the largest springtime markets around. Featuring more than 130 vendors from right here in Austin as well as from around the nation. The market will include live music, local food trucks, and interactive features in addition to all of the great shopping. Jo’s Coffee will have breakfast burritos, Gati’s will have their vegan ice cream, and Hi Sign Brewing will have craft beers available. Best of all, you can bring your pups, just be sure they are on a leash!

Get ready to rock this Friday night as 101X Presents Toadies at Emo’s! Doors open at 8 PM and tickets are still on sale for only $30, so get yours today and come have some fun with the Toadies and 101X

Cider House Rulz is back to make you laugh this Friday! Come on out to the Austin Eastcider Collaboratory for a night full of fun and lots of CIDER (21+)! This event is free to all, so bring all your friends!

The Austin Record Convention

Palm Center

Are you a vinyl junkie? Well, the Austin Record Convention is the largest sale of recorded music in the USA and it’s happening this weekend! Over 300 vendors will convene at the Palm Center with an array of vinyls, CDs, cassettes, collectibles, and more! This is an event so nice their doing it twice, so if you can’t make it our Saturday then check it out on Sunday (or go both days)! Tickets are only 12 bucks, and are available both online and at the ticket booth on-site. 

Texas Firewalkers Crawfish Cook-Off | 10 AM |

Willie’s Joint Bar And BBQ

Get cray at the Texas Firewalkers Crawfish Cook-Off this Saturday! 16 teams will be competing for the title of “Best Crawfish,” along with a few other awards and YOU get to be the judge! $20 gets you all-you-can-eat crawfish and helps raise money for Texas Firewalkers—an organization that helps aid families who are displaced by residential fires.

 

Sunday, May 19th.

People United For Armstrong Park Free Jazz In The Park Nola/Austin Republic Square April 7th 1 PM to 8 PM. Jazz in the park Nola/Austin—a cultural Bonanza. Second Line Parade Starting at 4th & congress at 1 PM featuring Sudan Social Aide and Pleasure Club

 

All for one brass band, Austin’s Minor Mishap 20 piece brass band. Music: Austin Church choirs, New Orleans Corey henry and the Treme Funkett, All For One Brass Band. Austin & New Orleans Food Restaurants: Wild Magnolia Jambalaya, Boutte’s Gumbo, Tchopouptioulas Etouffee, Aaron Green Kingfolk Barbeque, Andre Artisin Krab Kings, and Country Boy’s Homecooking.

Jazz In The Park | 1 PM |

Republic Square

Jazz In The Park is merging the cultures of New Orleans and Austin for the ultimate Sunday Funday at Republic Square. Enjoy food, music and more inspired by the spirit of both ATX and NOLA right in the center of downtown. Things will kick off around 1 PM with a 2nd line Parade starting at 4th & Congress, so plan accordingly to avoid missing out on the excitement!

 

Game of Thrones – Silent Screening | 8 PM |

Yard Bar

This is it guys—the season finale of Game of Thrones is here, and it’s the last one ever *sheds tear*. Yard Bar will be hosting a silent screening of Game of Thrones on their patio for you, your family, and your pups! Get yourself a pair of noise-canceling headphones for just $5 and prepare yourself for an experience unlike any other as we say farewell to one of TVs most beloved shows.
