Vampire Weekend Preview New Collab with The Internet’s Steve Lacy

This is Vampire Weekend Performing in 2014 at Reading Festival

Vampire Weekend performed this weekend at the Libbey Bowl in Ojai, California, with a set full of covers and a preview of new song, “Flower Moon,” from the band’s upcoming album. The song features contributions from the Internet guitarist Steve Lacy and wistful lyrics like “Flower moon, sacred sign, Coca-Cola and red wine, now’s the time to disappear.” The group played a seven-minute Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa we’re devastated to have missed, before seguing into The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun.” The band also covered Dusty Springfield and the Velvet Underground’s “Sunday Morning,” and generously included several fan favorites like “Walcott,” “Campus” and “Oxford Comma.”
