Flashback Retro Dance Party 2020 | 8 PM | 

The Parish

Jason and Deb from 101X are hosting an over-the-top ’80s and ’90s dance party celebrating the music, fashion and fads inspired by the unforgettable decades. The 11th Flashback: a retro dance party benefit will feature a gnarly costume contest, raffle, nostalgic activities, and auction! This year’s proceeds will directly fund Bliss Kid Yoga‘s Global Citizen Camp. General admission tickets are on sale for $25 with a buy four get one free offer. 

 

Rockford Icehogs at Texas Stars | 7 PM | 

H-E-B Center at Cedar Park

Come on down to the H.E.B center and the watch Texas Stars take on the Rockford Icehogs during their 11th AHL season. While you’re there, enjoy $2.00 Domestic Draft Beer all night long or grab a Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Family Four- Pack. Starting just $17 per person, get four tickets, four hot dogs, and four soft drinks. Tickets may fluctuate due to demand, however, right now you grab a ticket for Friday’s game for $18. 

 

Lotería Game Night | 7:05 PM | 

Blue Owl Brewing

Join Blue Owl Brewing to play the traditional Mexican card game, Lotería! Enjoy a glass of ¡Limetastico!, the brewery’s  newest sour beer release.  The game is free to play, but winners will walk away from the fun with Blue Owl merch. Bring your friends or family, and relax after a long week of work with some fun.

Texas Roller Derby | 7 PM | 

Palmer Events Center

Join us trackside as the heavenly Holy Rollers go against the rowdy Cherry Bombs. Hard hits, pillow fights, cold beer, and hot pizza. Texas Roller Derby didn’t get called the “Sport’s Toughest League” for nothing. Tickets are $20 and are even cheaper with a group discount. Bring your friends! Doors open at 6 pm and wheels hit the track at 7 pm. Kids 12 and under get in free.

 

RADwood Austin 2020 – 1980s/1990s Car Show | 11:00 AM |

Driveway Austin Motorsports

Rain or shine, join RADwood at Driveway Austin Motorsports for a celebration of the ’80s and ’90s automotive lifestyle. The 2nd annual RADwood Austin is a car show that showcases motor vehicles from the years 1980-1999. Car enthusiasts can register their car for $30 or a motorcycle for $20. General admission tickets are $15 per person in advance and $20 at the gate. Kids 12 and under, of course, get to have fun for free. Wear your best ’80s and ’90s clothing, because things are going to get rad! 

 

2020 Austin Oyster Festival | 12 PM |

Republic Square

This Saturday only, Austin Oyster Festival is returning for its 8th year, serving up a bounty of chef-prepared, seafood dishes, cocktail pairings, and entertainment. The festival is benefiting the Central Texas Food Bank and will be highlighting Gulf and East Coast oysters prepared in nearly every way imaginable by noted Austin chefs. Great food will be accompanied by a Bloody Mary Bar, local beers from Brown Distributing, and live local music from The Blue Mist, Lost Pines, Chansons Et Soulards. The festival sells out in advance. Tickets can be purchased on www.AustinOysterFestival.com for $60 for general admission and $115 for VIP.

BarkHappy Austin: Doggy BFF Fashion Show | 11 AM |

Nordstrom at The Domain 

It’s time for one of the cutest events around: The BarkHappy Austin Doggy Fashion show! Bring your furry friends out to Nordstrom’s Domain location to join the fun and support Emancipet. Get an exclusive shopping hour with your pup as Nordstrom opens their doors one hour early just for this event. Enjoy free appetizers and refreshments from Bazile, treats for your dog thanks to Poochie Trends, and many other great giveaways and chances to win cool prizes!

 

The 2020 Sherwood Forest Faire | 10 AM | 

1883 Old Hwy 20 McDade, Texas 78650

The Sherwood Forest Faire is back for its 11th year every Friday and Saturday until April 19th. Travel back in time to the year 1199, and enter into the realm of England’s Sherwood Forest. This Medieval-themed Faire is located about 40 minutes from downtown Austin, and is set in a charming 23-acre wooded village that features over 170 shoppes, pubs, and restaurants. Enjoy entertainment from the 150 daily performances including full-contact jousting, falconry, comedians, jugglers, musicians, and other shows for both children and adults. Feel free to dress in costume while you gnaw on a giant turkey leg and sip some grog. Visitors may even encounter fairies, peasants, or Robin Hood. General admission tickets are on sale for $22, but check out for more immersive events happening at the festival, like Robin’s feast and The Falconer’s Feast Benefiting Knights Of The Grail.

 

Yoga & Axes at Hatchet Alley | 10:30 AM | 

Hatchet Alley

It’s Sunday Funday! Join Hatchet Alley from 10:30-12:30 PM for one hour of yoga followed by an hour of axe throwing. Tidal wine will be in attendance offering free wine for post-yoga relaxation. Come de-stress before the long week ahead! Tickets are on sale now for $20.
